The story of our name is based on the record-setting achievements of Andy Varipapa, one of the world’s more famous sports personalities of the mid-20th century. As one of America’s premier and pioneering professional bowlers he became the first to successfully defend his championship in what is now the U.S. Open by winning back-to-back titles in 1946 and 1947. And by finishing second in 1948 he created a 3-Year performance achievement that has yet to be equaled in his sport.
The goal of his achievement was simple: To be first, to make it last, and be unique. That will be the legacy that 46/47 Consulting Group will strive to emulate.
