Bowlers to Veterans Link Launches “Mission 2 Million” Campaign Following Record-Breaking Year

April 20, 2026

Fairfax, Virginia — Bowlers to Veterans Link (BVL), the longest-running charity in bowling, has officially launched its new national fundraising initiative, Mission 2 Million, with the goal of raising $2 million in a single year to support veterans and active-duty military through recreation therapy and wellness programs.

The campaign was unveiled during the 2026 USBC Convention in Reno, Nevada, where BVL leaders and supporters gathered to celebrate another historic year of impact.

The launch follows a record-breaking fundraising year for BVL, which raised $1.8 million, including more than $1 million from local and state USBC associations for the first time in organization history.

“Mission 2 Million is about momentum, belief, and what is possible when the bowling community comes together with purpose,” said Jessica Abel, Executive Director of BVL. “We have seen what this community can do year after year, and now we are challenging ourselves to dream bigger, reach higher, and continue brightening veterans’ lives in even greater ways.”

For more than 80 years, BVL has funded programs that improve the lives of veterans and active-duty military personnel, including virtual reality therapy systems, service dogs, Honor Flights, adaptive sports equipment, wheelchairs, and support for VA recreation therapy initiatives nationwide.

The Mission 2 Million campaign is designed to inspire participation from every level of the bowling industry — associations, centers, leagues, manufacturers, professional bowlers, and individual supporters — with the message that every fundraiser, every donation, and every act of support helps move the mission forward.

“Reaching $2 million would be historic,” said Nancy Schenk, Chair of the BVL Board of Directors. “But more importantly, it would mean more opportunities, more healing, and more hope for the men and women who have served our country.”

As America approaches its 250th anniversary, BVL believes this is the perfect time to rally the bowling community around a bold new goal rooted in gratitude, patriotism, and service.
